Directly across from the fountain and near the main gate, there is a pedestrian entrance leading into a sheltered garden area. There are a number of seats here where people like to relax and enjoy the sunshine. Walking towards the play area, on your right there is a small border containing plants which provide natural habitats for butterflies, bees and other insects. This border was created by Friends of Kings Park and Stirling High School Eco Group.

The Peace of Mind Garden is located just beyond this border. It is wheelchair accessible and designed as a tranquil area, featuring plants and trees which support biodiversity and wildlife.
