Privacy & Cookies
This website is run by Friends of Kings Park (Scottish Charity SC038449). This policy explains what limited information the site collects and how cookies are used. It applies to kingsparkstirling.org.
Information we collect
We do not ask you to create an account or submit personal details to browse this site. If you choose to accept analytics cookies, we collect anonymised statistics about how the site is used (for example which pages are popular and roughly which region visitors come from) to help us improve it. We do not use this to identify you.
Cookies
When you first visit, we ask whether you are happy for us to use Google Analytics. We store your choice in a small first-party cookie (kp_consent) so we do not have to ask again; this cookie is essential to remember your preference and is always set once you choose.
Only if you select “Accept” do we load Google Analytics 4, which sets its own cookies (such as _ga) to measure site usage. If you select “Reject”, no analytics cookies are set and Google Analytics is not loaded at all. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site’s cookies in your browser, which will bring the banner back.
Third parties
Analytics is provided by Google (Google Analytics 4). Map tiles are served by OpenStreetMap and Carto. These providers process the request needed to serve their content; please see their own privacy notices for details. We do not sell or share your information.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have rights over any personal data we hold. Because this site collects only anonymised, consent-based analytics, we hold no information that identifies you. If you have any questions, please contact Friends of Kings Park via friendsofkingspark.org.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page.
