The wolf of the Stirling legend, howling from the rock Friends of Kings Park

The Wolf Stone (2003) stands beside the path outside the Smith. This is made from a piece of Caithness slate in the Pictish style by artist Alan Reid. On one side is the legend of the wolf that supposedly saved Stirling from attack by howling during a night-time Viking raid on the town. On the other side, notice the paw print of a wolf.
